It is our intention to adhere as closely as possible to the principles of the Alexander Technique as they were first expounded by F.M. Alexander in his books and later defined by his student Patrick Macdonald. All the participants in this web site have been trained according to the classical principles of the Alexander Technique at the Toronto School of the Alexander Technique and engage regularly in professional development designed to enhance their understanding of the Technique. In turn, they are guided by senior teachers devoted to its classical form who have studied directly with Patrick Macdonald. The Alexander Technique is a discipline to which all our participants have made a life-long commitment. It is a life-giving discipline that can transform the body's habitual conditioned responses to external stimuli- resulting in a transition from poor use, injury and pain to poise, mobility and freedom through conscious employment of the principles of the Technique.

All of our associate members have been thoroughly trained for 1600 hours at the Toronto School of the Alexander Technique in the five principles of the Alexander Technique and their application in life activities.
